The top 2 teams in the regular season would face off in eh Atom Finals. The Dresden Jr. Kings White would ease there way into the finals while the West Lorne Comets would need a tie breaker to make it in. The Final series would go three games and need a shoot out to decide a winner
Game 1 Dresden Jr. Kings White 5 West Lorne Comets 3
Game 1 would be hosted by West Lorne on Mar 22nd. Dresden White would jump out to an early 1-0 led off the stick of Tanner B unassisted 1:01 into the game. West Lorne would answer midway though the opening period as Savannah V would score assisted by Elysa R and Cameron T. Dresden White would go up 2-1 in the last minute of the first as Brody N would score with an assist to Max D. Dresden would extend their lead to 2 goals with 7:48 left in the second when Kyrin B scored with an assist from Hunter C. West Lorne would close the gap to 1 before the end of the second with 2:01 to go with Darren S scoring from Rhett S making it 3-2 Dresden. The Comets would then tie in in the third just under 5 minutes into the third as Cameron T knotted the game unassisted. Dresden White would take the lead for the final time as Brody N would get his second of the game and the game winner with 6;46 left in the third. Tanner B would add an insurance marker assisted by Brayden J to win the game 5-3 and give Dresden two chances on home ice to win the Atom Title.
Game 2 West Lorne Comets 2 Dresden Jr. Kings White 0
Dresden White would return to home ice to host game 2 Mar 23rd up 1 game to 0 in the finals. But West Lorne would not go down quietly. Goalie’s Ava W of West Lorne and Griffin V would keep the game scoreless through the first period. West Lorne would break the scoreless tie with 4:40 remaining in the second as Darren S would score with an assist to Rhett S. West Lorne would add a little breathing room in the third when Cameron T scored to make it 2-0 with an assist to Ryan S and Ava W would garner the shutout to send the series to a 3rd and deciding game.
Game 3 West Lorne Comets 4 Dresden Jr. Kings White 3 in a Shoot-out
The all deciding game three would be set for Mar 26th in Dresden and what a game it would be to capture the Atom Plaque.
Dresden White would come out strong as they would fire three goals in the opening 7 minutes of the game to take a 3-0 lead. Brody N would score first at 7:38 with assists to Kyrin B and Hunter C. Kyrin B would score unassisted at 6:32 and Brody N would add his second of the game assisted by Kyrin B and Max D. Griffin V kept the door closed on West Lorne through the first. West Lorne goalie Ava W would shut the door starting in the second and Cameron T would notch a hat trick to turn the game around in the final two periods. Cameron T would score unassisted midway through the second and again with 3:53 left in the second with an assist from Ryan S. Cameron T would tie the game at 3 with just 55 seconds left in the third unassisted to send the game to overtime. The extra 5 minutes would solve nothing and the Title would come down to a shootout. Ava W for West Lorne and Griffin V would see the spot light shine on them as it took 5 shooters to decide the game. Darren S would score the deciding goal to give the West Lorne Comets the Atom Championship plaque.
